    Title : of well-overdue updates
    Time : 3:30 PM

hey peeps! i'm back in malaysia!!! omg.. i miss home so so much! finally can relax for real.. ahhh :)
    so.. updates!!
after being MIA for about 3 months or so, i'm finally posting up sth :)
term ended on the 14th and i went to italy for about 5 days for sightseeing. it was pretty awesome.. went with darrel, ten and 4 other msians.. visited tourist hot spots like the Colosseum, Vatican City, bath (filled with saphophagus), many many churches and other ruins. these were in rome.. we stayed in a B&B, which probably stands for broken and building.. haha. honestly, the conditions were quite terrible at first. there had like scaffolding around the stairway area (dunno how long it's been there - either to hold the place up or they are renovating.. then again, rome's basically a city of ruins so.. :D) the room conditions were ok, minus the extremely precarious bunk bed. the bed frame holding the bed on top pratically swayed and creaked each time the top or bottom person moved. quite scary. i was lucky to get the single bed (by itself cos there were 3 of us in the room) but if the top person fell off the left side of the bed, she would have landed on me. if she fell to her right, she'd land on the dresser, then floor. health hazard, definitely. the showers were temperamental - sometimes hot or cold, especially if someone was showering in the other bathroom at the same time.. but then since we were out most of the time and returned only to sleep, it was alright.. breakfast and service was good tho! :)

this is an illegal shot of the Sistine chapel.. not allowed to take pictures cos some Japanese company bought the rights to any form of image of the chapel till 2015 or sth like that..
    here's the Colessuem..

and St Peter's Cathedral - the largest church in the world. after seeing this church, the rest of the churches like no kick. can fit like 50 of them in this cathedral. simply humongous and extremely impressive. the size of the words on the top part of the wall (the ones in blue.. can you all see?) is 6 feet in height. omg.

now.. FOOD!! i had loads of gelatos, pasta/spaghetti, pizza and overpriced mineral water in that period of time. here are some pictures of the heavenly sinful pleasures.. from normal flavours like tiramisu and nutella to yogurt-flavor (peach, wild berry etc) and even milk flavor!

and here's some cool pasta!! they come in all shapes and sizes. ribbon-shaped, waves, weird squiggles, curls, even star-of-david-shaped ones! there are some in the color of the germany and italian flag as you can see.. they get the black color from squid ink (can you believe it! haha)

and then we went to venice.. famous for their (again overpriced) gondola rides and glass ornaments. ask darrel to tell you his story of his 16 euro clock he bought from the first glass blowing shop.. which cost 5 euros in the shop after that.. haha. they make a mint out of tourists.. this stupid bull is 8700 euros. !@#$%

    seriously. i'm not BULL-shitting. HAHA
okla.. it's totally customised, handmade, one-of-a kind bull.. but no way i'm paying RM44k for that piece of glass that can break in like 1 sec..
oh, and the hotel was much better as well.. see the comfy king sized bed we got! :)

back to the gondola rides.. this is a gondola with the gondola man (or whatever ppl who row gondolas are called)! :D he gave us a half hour tour around some canals.. VERY relaxing.. ahh.. he's been doing it for about 20 years already. brought us to see the house where the great casanova lived!

here's a night shot from one of venice's many bridges..

it's one of the restaurants we were coaxed to go into but we didn't.. cos the waiters couldn't guess our nationality.. you korean? japanese? chinese (as in china)? hong kong? taiwan? and it just goes on.. finally we had to tell him. he went like OHHHH!!! then after that, he asked, "where's that?" we had to tell him it was near singapore.. then only he knew. so of cos we didn't eat there. LOL. actu the prices were pretty steep as well. :S

more shots of venice.. the houses there are so colourful!!! it's like some LegoLand. haha :)

    pretty nice, eh? :)
it was indeed an awesome trip!
actu i shortened the stories of the trip.. if you want to know more, drop me a comment on the blog/wall post on FB and i'll put up more details.. don't wanna bore/spam the blog! haha

so after italy, i went to london for awhile, then flew to spore, stayed there for 2 days and finally back to kuching.. only managed to meet up with josiah and nat, cos the rest were too busy dancing or working *koff koff* LOL
hopefully i'll see more of you guys when i return on the 19th :)
    and i want updates! HAHA

i so miss you all loads!!!!

    xoxo
